This "non-destructive" test uses a water/vacuum bath for testing seal integrity on packs produced from horizontal and vertical machines, thermos formers and tray sealers. It could also be used on any product that has seal integrity issues.
How Does It Work?
To check the seal integrity of your packaging, place the packaged product into the water test
tank, where it is then submerged under the water.
A vacuum is then drawn on to the package to test for any faulty seals.
If air bubbles appear on the product during this process, then the package is compromised or
faulty. The air bubbles provide a visual location of exactly where the package is faulty, allowing
for the problem to be addressed and corrected.
